Personality snapshot

Ideas come first here. Respondents in Turkey are the most Intuitive of all 108 ranked countries. They are drawn more to theories, patterns, and future possibilities than to the tried and tested. They’re also much more Turbulent than average, so big ambitions often come paired with self-doubt.

Analysts and Diplomats dominate, while Sentinels and Explorers are scarcer than usual – ISFJs (Defenders) especially. ENTPs (Debaters) stand out most, appearing 38% more often than in the average country.

About the country

Turkey bridges two continents, with most of its land on the Anatolian peninsula in Asia and a small corner in Europe. The Bosphorus strait splits Istanbul between the two. Inland, Cappadocia’s soft volcanic rock is carved with cave churches and entire underground cities. At Pamukkale, white travertine terraces spill down a hillside fed by warm springs.

Göbekli Tepe, built more than 11,000 years ago, is one of the oldest known monumental sites. Turkish coffee culture is recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage.
