Personality snapshot

Big ideas and open plans outweigh structure and routine among Peru’s test-takers. Only about 7% are Sentinels, well below the average country. Respondents are among the most Intuitive of all ranked countries and lean Prospecting more than most. They also come out more Extraverted than average, despite a slight tilt toward Introversion.

Diplomats outnumber the norm, but that owes more to Intuition than to Feeling, where respondents sit right at the average. ENFPs (Campaigners) show up about a quarter more often than in the average country.

About the country

Peru lies on South America’s Pacific coast, where a desert shoreline rises into the Andes before dropping into the Amazon rainforest, which covers more than half the country. The Inca citadel of Machu Picchu perches on a ridge above the Urubamba River, and the giant Nazca Lines are etched into the southern desert. The potato was first domesticated in the Peruvian Andes, where thousands of varieties still grow. Ceviche, raw fish cured in lime juice, is the national dish.
