Personality snapshot

Few countries in our rankings are as Observant as Malaysia, which places seventh, even though its respondents as a group still lean Intuitive. That focus on the practical and the present shows in the Roles: Explorers and Sentinels are both more common than in the average country, while Analysts are less so, with ENTPs (Debaters) noticeably rarer. ISFJs (Defenders) appear 60% more often than average. Respondents also lean more Feeling, Introverted, and Turbulent than most, which points to a quieter, more sensitive group.

About the country

Malaysia spans two parts of Southeast Asia: the southern Malay Peninsula and the north of Borneo, with the South China Sea between them. Its rainforests shelter Rafflesia, plants with some of the largest flowers on Earth. On Borneo, Mount Kinabalu rises above 4,000 meters, and Sarawak’s Mulu caves hold one of the largest known underground chambers. Kuala Lumpur’s Petronas Twin Towers were once the world’s tallest buildings, and nasi lemak – rice cooked in coconut milk – is often called the national dish.
