Personality snapshot

Confidence is what sets this group apart. Uzbekistan’s test-takers still lean Turbulent, but they rank fifth for Assertiveness among all ranked countries, so stress and self-doubt seem to weigh on them less than on most. They’re also more Extraverted and more Judging than the average country.

That mix shows in the types. ISFJs (Defenders) are noticeably less common than usual, while ENTJs (Commanders) and ENFJs (Protagonists) are each about a quarter more common than average.

About the country

In the heart of Central Asia, Uzbekistan is one of only two doubly landlocked countries on Earth. The Kyzylkum Desert spreads between the Amu Darya and Syr Darya rivers, while the fertile Fergana Valley lies in the east.

Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva grew rich on the Silk Road, and their blue-tiled domes still dazzle. In the 1420s, the astronomer Ulugh Beg built a huge observatory in Samarkand. Plov, rice cooked with meat and carrots, is the national dish.
