They lean clearly Intuitive and slightly Introverted and Feeling, yet compared with the average country they come out a little more Extraverted and Thinking. Diplomats remain the largest group, while Sentinels are scarce – fewer than one respondent in ten belongs to this Role, with three of its four types well below average.

About the country

Ecuador takes its name from the equator, which crosses the country just north of its capital, Quito. The Andes run down the middle of the mainland, between Pacific lowlands and Amazon rainforest, and the summit of Chimborazo is the point on Earth’s surface farthest from the planet’s center. Some 1,000 kilometers offshore lie the Galápagos Islands, whose wildlife inspired Charles Darwin. The so-called Panama hat is actually woven in Ecuador from toquilla straw, and its cacao is prized by chocolate makers.
