I would be scared to ask, but I would say, "Are you doing good or Have you had a great day", but I mean I do'nt know what to ask my friend when she's nervous. so what am I doing wrong here?

What about if money were no object and you were guaranteed of success, what would you do with your life?
Normally, I’d like to find out about everyone I meet. I’d always say “Hey! You feeling good?” I just like to start off by knowing how they feel and then just getting into the conversation. Knowing how others feel can make a good conversation, you know? Sometimes you can ask why they feel that way and what they’ve been up to. (E.g - What have you been up to lately?) It’s nice and entertaining for a lively conversation!
Hi. I have a formula for conversation with unfamiliar people that is: start with Hi - unless the other person started and didn't said hi or hello then you don't need to say Hi; Go straight to the point keeping it formal and simple. - if you can't do that something is malfunctioning. Desperate; If you didn't start the conversation, just listen the person inputs and answer shortly and clear as possible or nod. If the person want a long answer they usually ask for it. Don't produce any unnecessary outputs yourself. It is working great so far.
This is what I normally do, but i’m trying to learn how to sound more “human” and less formal. Also less theology theories... Those are terrible conversation starters…
