16 Personality Types and Their Ideal Pizza

We’ve spent years analyzing how different personality types make decisions – so naturally, we had to put our expertise to the test with pizza. Here’s our take on which slice matches each type.

Take the Test

INTJ (Architects): Marinara

INTJs have a purist approach when it comes to pizza. They don’t need 17 toppings competing for attention – they want a few high-quality ingredients executed perfectly. A proper marinara with garlic, oregano, and olive oil demonstrates that less can indeed be more when you know what you’re doing.

INTP (Logicians): Build-Your-Own

INTPs treat pizza like a hypothesis worth testing. These personalities are genuinely curious about whether goat cheese and hot honey actually work together (they do), and they question why pineapple became the controversial topping when anchovies exist. Their ideal pizza situation involves unlimited customization options and the freedom to create objectively weird combinations that turn out to be theoretically sound.

ENTJ (Commanders): Meat Lovers

ENTJs know exactly what they want and waste no time deliberating. Their pizza is decisive and unapologetic – loaded with substantial proteins, thick sauce, and zero patience for wishy-washy “maybe just a little cheese” orders. They appreciate efficiency and impact, which means they look for a pizza that delivers maximum satisfaction without unnecessary complications.

ENTP (Debaters): Pineapple & Jalapeño

ENTPs order unconventional combinations like pineapple and jalapeño specifically to push others outside their comfort zones. They are the personality type most likely to challenge the very concept of what pizza “should” be, proving that unexpected pairings can work if you’re willing to question the rules. Sparking lively conversation and getting people to reconsider their assumptions about food is exactly the point – they’re not just eating pizza, they’re expanding what’s possible.

INFJ (Advocates): Artisan Vegetarian

INFJs make meaningful choices about their food, preferring pizzas with thoughtfully sourced ingredients made in the local pizzeria. They’re drawn to artisan vegetarian options featuring seasonal vegetables, fresh herbs, and cheese from farms they could probably tell you about. Their pizza isn’t just a meal – it’s a reflection of all the values they hold dear.

INFP (Mediators): Margherita

INFPs want their pizza to be authentic and simple. A Margherita prepared the right way fits the bill. It satisfies their appreciation for genuine tradition, but also speaks to their feelings about crust-to-sauce ratios and the perfect basil placement to achieve the exact balance of red, green, and white. These personalities are not being picky – they just know what feels right to them.

ENFJ (Protagonists): Supreme

ENFJs instinctively consider everyone’s preferences when ordering pizza. These types are the ones suggesting we get multiple pies so no one feels left out, making sure there’s something for the vegetarian, the picky eater, and the adventurous friend. Their own favorite? Whatever brings the group together, though a loaded supreme that offers something for everyone feels appropriately inclusive.

ENFP (Campaigners): Half-and-Half Everything

ENFPs struggle with commitment – not in relationships, but in pizza orders. Why choose between two great options when you can get half-and-half? Better yet, why limit yourself at all? People with this personality type want variety. They’ll definitely “just try a bite” of everyone else’s slices, and they might change their mind mid-meal about what they actually wanted. The pizza experience is an adventure, and narrowing down their options feels unnecessarily limiting.

ISTJ (Logisticians): Classic Pepperoni

ISTJs appreciate reliability and tradition in their pizza. They’ve likely ordered from the same trusted place for years, and they see no reason to fix what isn’t broken. Classic pepperoni delivers exactly what it promises – no surprises, no gimmicks, just consistent quality they can depend on.

ISFJ (Defenders): Four Cheese

ISFJ personalities gravitate toward comforting, familiar pizzas that feel like a warm embrace. A four-cheese pizza – typically mozzarella, Parmesan, ricotta, and provolone – offers layers of creamy, nostalgic comfort without any jarring surprises. The best part is that they can easily recreate it at home for family gatherings.

ESTJ (Executives): Detroit-Style Sicilian

ESTJs appreciate substance and practicality, which is why thick, square Sicilian or Detroit-style pizza suits them perfectly. This isn’t a delicate Neapolitan – it’s efficient, structured, and designed to maximize every inch of the pan. The thick crust provides a solid foundation, the caramelized cheese edges deliver results, and there’s enough heft to actually constitute a proper meal.

ESFJ (Consuls): Chicken Bacon Ranch

ESFJs tend to think about what they can do to make the most people happy. Chicken bacon ranch is reliably popular, crowd-pleasing, and inoffensive (for most people) – it’s exactly the kind of choice that makes sure everyone at the table is satisfied. These personalities are less concerned with adventurous flavor profiles and more invested in creating the warm, inclusive atmosphere where pizza becomes the backdrop for connection.

ISTP (Virtuosos): BBQ Chicken

ISTPs have a practical attitude about pizza. They appreciate BBQ chicken’s departure from traditional Italian flavors, enjoying the fusion of smoky, tangy barbecue sauce with chicken and red onions. But they also like to experiment. The BBQ chicken concept opens up possibilities – maybe chipotle barbecue next time, or adding caramelized onions, or testing whether cilantro actually improves it.

ISFP (Adventurers): Fig & Prosciutto

ISFP personality types seek sensory richness in their pizza experience. They’re drawn to unexpected combinations like fig and prosciutto with balsamic drizzle – pizzas that engage multiple taste dimensions and offer genuine sensory pleasure. For them, food should be felt and experienced, not just consumed.

ESTP (Entrepreneurs): Spicy Buffalo Chicken

ESTPs go bold with their pizza choices, loading up on spicy buffalo chicken with extra hot sauce and blue cheese. They live in the moment, and their pizza reflects that energy – maximal flavors, no holding back, and zero interest in minimalist approaches. If they can feel the heat, it’s the right amount.

ESFP (Entertainers): Dessert Pizza

ESFPs celebrate fun and indulgence in every aspect of their lives, including their pizza selection. They’re ordering the Nutella dessert pizza with strawberries and powdered sugar, turning pizza night into an experience worth sharing. Pizza is meant to be enjoyed and celebrated, and they’ll definitely be offering slices to everyone around them (while documenting the whole thing).

Your Perfect Pizza Match

The beauty of pizza – much like personality itself – is that there’s no single best option. Your perfect slice exists somewhere out there, waiting to be discovered, debated over, or reliably reordered for the hundredth time. And honestly? That’s exactly how it should be.

So, did we get your type right? Drop a comment below and let us know what your actual go-to order is – and whether you think this whole analysis is spot-on or off base. And if you know someone who absolutely needs to see their pizza match (or will argue with theirs), share this with them. We’re ready for the debate.

I think it's both awesome and funny and ridiculous that we're matching pizza to feelings

This… is almost scary. I’m not very adventurous in food choices, but I always do the build-your-own with ham and pesto sause. My mom (INTJ) always has it plain with marinara or pesto and my dad (ENTJ) always had some sort of meat on it. This is very scary… XD
